It was an exuberant day at school today! We did a bit of collage work with train images, paper, crayons, glue, scissors, and tape. A number of friends spent much time learning to use and experiencing scissors.
The connections and friendships between students are forming and it is a delight to watch friends interact and create collaborative play.
It’s been a long time dream to build and open an in-house, anti-bias, play-based preschool. We are finally doing it! My family and I are extremely excited. We’d like to share the process with you. It’s been a year of conceptual planning, architecture, and construction. Our school is ready! We’re now working on our outdoor spaces. Soon we’ll be adding a cedar playhouse, a sand lake, a mud kitchen, and garden beds.
Update: We are an official Certified Family Preschool! We are ready for visitors and now enrolling for the 2019/2020 school year (school begins July 1). Please come visit us!
