We have two new amphibious friends in the classroom: African Dwarf frogs. They are a little difficult to spot sometimes as they blend well with the substrate. But they do move quickly and come up to the surface for air. Today the two were swimming quite a bit. One even swam right up to F. She exclaimed, “the frog kissed me!”
It’s been a long time dream to build and open an in-house, anti-bias, play-based preschool. We are finally doing it! My family and I are extremely excited. We’d like to share the process with you. It’s been a year of conceptual planning, architecture, and construction. Our school is ready! We’re now working on our outdoor spaces. Soon we’ll be adding a cedar playhouse, a sand lake, a mud kitchen, and garden beds.
Update: We are an official Certified Family Preschool! We are ready for visitors and now enrolling for the 2019/2020 school year (school begins July 1). Please come visit us!
